Project Timesheets

After a long day's worth of work, I like to take some time to just relax in the pool without any work duties. My manager would come to remind me that there were timesheets due within a few hours, and I would always respond with "Okay!" In reality, I would rarely remember to submit them because the software itself would only work once I was on a computer, something I wasn't near until a few hours later. So to make it easier on myself, I created my own software that would submit my data through the phone.

Project Purpose

Turn Time into Money

To replace the inefficient system that was already in place, I created an app that asked for the necessary data, can locally store it, and then send it to the proper email for processing. It simplifies the complicated procedure that was there before and the whole process can be done within a few minutes! Use this URL to view the app in action!

Project Status

Implementation

The application was first beta-tested for a few weeks after development. Once the beta-testing procedure ran smoothly, it was officially implemented as the primary software for timesheet processing. My coworkers and I used the software for weeks and it became a normality until the workplace was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Project Future Updates

Once the workplace reopens...

For the users who do not have apple devices, I am looking forward to creating an Android version of the app using Java so that the software becomes accessible to more employees. I am also working on creating a notification system that alerts the user about upcoming timesheet due dates so they know well in advance.
