TSA Experience
Throughout freshman and sophomore year, I was looking for something to be obsessive about. A field that truly connected to me and made me excited about something. In my junior year, I was able to find just that and it came in the form of TSA.

What I Participated In
I led teams in the Architecture Design, Engineering Design and Biotechnology Design events, creating physical models, prototypes, research portfolios and presentations to address the prompt we were given. Months of brainstorming and construction resulted in powerful solutions that would shed light and offer hope for global problems today.

Club Successes
Accolades
The hard work paid off. We placed in the Regional Top 5 for Engineering and Architectural Design and Top 10 for Biotechnology Design. This led to State qualification for the Engineering and Biotechnology events and National Qualification for the Architectural event. Unfortunately, all conferences would go on to be cancelled in 2020.

Club Leadership
Pushing a Legacy
Though my experience was cut short, I felt I learnt a lot from the regional competition itself. I wanted to share this knowledge to help the TSA chapter members who would be in the club long after I graduate. I ran for Chapter Vice President and was elected to serve the Downingtown STEM Academy Chapter. Here, I increased chapter membership by 110% and effectively mentored other members for their own TSA success.
